Outsiders Cornwall — home

Who we are

About Outsiders Cornwall

We set up the club in early 2026 after struggling to find affordable outdoor family activities near us. Our ethos is simple: fun, play, being outside — and a healthy lack of competition.

It's about community, connections and belonging. The mission: come together, have fun, try something new, and leave feeling better than when you arrived.

Home turf is Hayle and Gwithian, but the adventures roam — Helston, Perranporth, Tehidy, Scorrier, and wherever in West Cornwall looks like fun next.

Play over structure

If it stops being fun, we're doing it wrong.

Collaboration over competition

Nobody's timing you. Nobody's ranking you.

Inclusive

Every pace, every age, every level of muddiness.

Family friendly

Built for whole crews, from wellies to walking boots.

What families tell us

“Loved being within a supportive (and beautiful!) environment to enjoy exercise with my son, and accommodating our different levels of energy!”— parent feedback
“I'm not sure if there was anything to actually improve at all. The lack of timing/racing/competitiveness made it perfect for the children to have fun 🤩” — parent feedback

The humans

Both of us resolutely refuse to grow up

Ellie hanging upside-down from a tree branch, grinning

Ellie

A childhood spent eating biscuits and dreaming of being on Gladiators. Moved to Cornwall as a teenager and never looked back — trail running and ocean adventures ever since. More than ten years as a secondary school teacher. DBS checked and safeguarding trained.

Robin mid-stride on a run, grinning

Robin

A youth of action sports: skateboards, downhill trail runs, and riding bikes up and down things bikes shouldn't go up or down. DBS checked, with teaching qualifications.

A thank you

Friends of the club

Outsiders runs on goodwill as much as wellies. Special thanks to Bys Vyken Events in Camborne, trail-race legends of West Cornwall — and to the friends who help us build, plan and play.
